About John Heintz

After receiving his bachelor of arts in speech/English education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, John Heintz relocated to Chicago where he completed his and his master of arts in literature from Northwestern University and juris doctor at The John Marshall Law School. John Heintz’s professional history includes tenure as an English teacher and debate coach with a number of high schools, an associate attorney with Chicago law firm Scariano, Himes & Petrarca, the English editor of the Leiden Journal of International Law, and an adjunct instructor at his law school alma mater.

More recently, he advised senior executives as assistant superintendent for human resources/chief legal officer with Niles Township High School District 219, located in Skokie, Illinois. Niles District 219 subsequently named him assistant superintendent for operations/chief legal officer, a position he held until 2015. With the district, he was responsible for improvements related to teacher recruitment and retention, cost savings, staff accountability, and administrative efficiency.

Currently, John Heintz leads as senior and legal services consultant at Lydian, Inc., a management consulting firm he cofounded. There, he has negotiated and provided advice to executives in contract negotiations and guided organizations through the start-up process.
